Going Ombre…

I decided to just jump the gun and ombre my hair myself. I spent all weekend scared that my hair will fall off from this attempt since I have been destroying my hair since I was 15, but what the hell I still tried it after a whole day of watching ombre tutorials on You Tube. I have to say I was really proud of myself for taking the leap and doing it alone, it was not as hard as I thought and I may need to do another round to get it lighter.

Here are the tutorials that helped me through this and which I highly recommend:

And here is some visual inspiration that I try to go by

Things I’m working on…

So this is just a random post about a few things I’m working on with Mila or just in life :)

These are the dip dyed mini’s in white and hot pink that I made for a friend for her birthday. These came out so good that I will have to add them to the collection!

Just finished a big order of the spring/summer collection for my friend Jessica’s store Wardrobe in Richmond, VA. So stop by her store if you are in the area, she sells some really great pieces!

Just shipped this pair of ombre dusters to Colorado for Caitlin who I used to work with in American Apparel back in the day. Hope you love them as much as I do! You can find these on the Etsy shop if you are interested in purchasing them also :)

I just purchased the Home Made cookbook and I can’t wait to start making everything from scratch, it’s a great cookbook and the layout design and imagery adds to the eye candy. All I need are these ombre wooden spoons found on Etsy. These are rad!

Sorry for not keeping up with the blog, but in the last month I have been super busy with work, Mila and Blu (issue no.14 is finally out!) but i’m back! Here is what I am working on at the moment in case you are wondering what’s next for Mila. We will be re-doing the website and online store with the Spring/Summer collection, also I’m working on a new lookbook which will feature the ombre and tie dye collection, which I am super excited about and I will be debuting the new awesome tassel key/purse clips!
So many more awesome projects, so stay tuned for more and thank you for your support!
ps. That is my messy work space, I need a better organization system!

I just finished Ombré dying some beautiful fringe for NBC’s Fashion Star designer Sarah Parrott. It really looks amazing in person, I wish I could keep it!
